FMH field crews have the experience and training to get your job done right –the first time. Technicians are experienced and qualified in electrical, mechanical and structural trades. Experience and training covers all brands of cranes and hoists.
Our crane inspectors have training and experience that exceeds the qualification requirement of CMAA spec 78 (Standards and Guidelines for Professional Services Performed on Overhead and Traveling Cranes and Associated Hoisting Equipment). Furthermore, average experience of inspectors and technicians exceeds 10 years. Lastly, qualification and training records of technicians working on your inspection or project are available for review upon request.
SAFETY COMES NEXT.
Overhead cranes and hoists are potentially dangerous pieces of equipment. Therefore, working on and around cranes and process equipment in a production environment is often filled with potential hazards. For this reason FMH management and field technical staff take safety of your personnel as well as our own very seriously.
As a result, we have a very good safety record and intend to keep it.
All employees are trained in proper safety procedures including use of lifts and lock-out tag-out procedures. (Copies of our safety manual are available upon request).
In conclusion all employees are expected to minimally follow our safety procedures as well as those provided by our customers.
FMH Inspection and Preventive Maintenance Program is designed to protect your employees from unseen hazards and keep your equipment in optimum running conditions, reducing downtime and adding life to the equipment. Repair and Breakdown ResponseOur team is at your service to respond to breakdowns on virtually any manufacturer’s crane and hoist. On call 24 hrs. A day, seven days a week, we strive to respond to every emergency breakdown request with a fully qualified repair technician in a maximum of two hours.
For the bigger emergencies we can mobilize at minimum 10 technicians within 4 hours. For major repairs which cannot be done effectively or efficiently on your premises, your equipment may be sent directly to our repair facility for quick turnaround.
Training and Consultation ProgramsFMH offers a complete factory authorized training programs to teach your personnel the prescribed safety procedures for all your cranes and accessories.
Load Testing ProgramPer OSHA regulation, all new cranes or cranes which have been extensively repaired and/or altered in any way should be tested to confirm the load rating of the crane, with test reports readily available for inspection. FMH has the Certified Weight Testing Equipment and the experienced personnel to perform the required tests on your premises, and prepare the required certification reports.

FMH modernization’s can include such modifications as: new controls, adjustable frequency drives, capacity updates, new brake systems, radio control conversions, independent traveling pendant pushbutton conversions, new festoon systems, safety overload devices, warning devices and anti-collision systems that adhere to all required safety standards.
